Welcome to the California Department of Education (CDE) Nutrition Services Division (NSD) Procurement Guidance Part 5: Meal Pattern Requirements for Vended Meals in the School Nutrition Programs (course number 680).

Viewers will learn the meal pattern requirements for breakfast and lunch that are provided by vended meal contractors, the program operator’s responsibilities, and common issues related to meal pattern requirements. The online course was recorded by the CDE in December 2019.

This online course takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. Please allow enough time to complete the online course in one sitting. At the end of the online course, you will be asked to complete a short evaluation. You will then have access to a printable online course certificate of completion for your records. Completion of this online course is not recorded until you select Submit on the final screen.
