U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools

School Facilities and Transportation Services Division

This survey seeks to identify schools and school districts interested in applying for nomination to U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools (ED-GRS), a federal recognition award. Applicants will also be considered for recognition as California Green Ribbon Schools (CA-GRS) as described on the California Green Ribbon Award Web page.
Completing this application interest survey is the first step to submitting an application for the 2021-22 ED-GRS award cycle. Beginning mid-August 2021, schools and districts completing this survey will receive a school or district application to complete online. This survey and the online application period will close at 12:00 P.M. PST on November 12, 2021.
This survey has twelve fields and should take less than five minutes to complete in a single session. All questions are required, except those noted as optional. If you have any questions or technical difficulties, or if your facility is a stand-alone Early Learning Center, please contact greenribbonschools@cde.ca.gov for assistance.

Submit Your Application Interest

Beginning on August 18, 2021, schools and districts completing this survey will receive--within one or two business days--a school or district application to complete online. Applications will be due by 12:00 P.M. on Friday, November 12, 2021.
